Stop the presses! Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez may soon follow in the footsteps of another Disney star, Lindsay Lohan, by posing nude for Playboy magazine. That's if the men's magazine and many others get their wishes granted.
Would having Miley and Selena naked in a Playboy issue sell? You bet it would. Would these barely legal stars pose naked though? That's another story. Usually, people don't get to see these stars nude, unless there's some sort of leaked cell phone pictures surfacing online. That might change. A recent report from AOL's Music blog reveals the juicy details of Playboy's pleas:
"They think it'd be a huge coup, albeit unlikely," an insider tells the British mag, NOW Magazine. "But since Miley's marijuana controversy gave her a bit of bad girl edge, they hope to convince her team that it's time to ditch the wholesome image and try something new."
Lindsay Lohan, age 25, appeared in Playboy's January/February 2012 issue, posing naked in a Marilyn Monroe themed pictorial. It was a big coup for Playboy as Hugh Hefner tweeted it was breaking sales records. If either Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez bare it all for the men's mag, expect those sales records to shoot through the stratosphere.
However, as mentioned, Gomez and Cyrus are "barely legal," as they're both age 19. So it's hard to fathom that they would go for this offer, which is reportedly $2 million each. Money's great, but both are still young in their careers and lives. They each have music, movies, TV and endorsement deals to bank on. Playboy may want to consider increasing their offers towards these young girls, if this story is in fact true.
That said, if one of them, perhaps Miley Cyrus, should go the wayward path, that Lindsay Lohan did, then money and "exposure" may become an issue. A very, very successful selling issue, for Mr. Hugh Hefner and Playboy!
