Update: Ideal Image management says they'll be licensed and bonded by the end of February
The ALTA (Agency Licensed Trade Association, a new trade group of adult-industry representation companies which is essentially a exodus of LATATA.org - click here to read about how that happened) has made the claim that Ideal Image Management (run by African American porn and mainstream actor and director Tee Reel) is not a licensed agency:

The ALTA statement follows:
"Are You with Ideal Image Management?
"IF YES PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!
"By State Law you must be a licensed talent agency (not a management company) in California in order to procure a job for talent.
"If Ideal Image has attempted contacting you as talent and stated they have
a job for you on a set date; they have set up a price you get paid; they
call you with details of the job (like location, wardrobe, makeup, talent);
and collect commissions: This is a job of an agent not a manager.
"A manager is allowed to manage your career, and an agent is allowed to
procure you work. If this happened to you, you are entitled to get all of
the agency fees that you have paid to that company reimbursed in entirety.
To do this, contact the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement
and put in a written complaint. The telephone number for the California
Department of Licensing Labor Commissioner is (415) 703-4846.
"As of 11:43 am on February 7, 2012, the DLSE has informed us that Ideal
Image Management has not filed or attempted to file for a License for their
agency.
"As a final note, talent should never have to pay your management company
for booking your jobs. It is against the law. Management companies are not
legally allowed to book jobs or charge commissions on jobs they booked. Any
talent with an unlicensed agency can put a claim in and get reimbursed 100
percent of all commissions paid to the unlicensed agency by that management
company.
"The state of California maintains a database of licensed talent agencies at www.dir.ca.gov/databases/dlselr/talag.html and ALTA recommends that
all talent verify that their representation is licensed."
Considering how ALTA (who's headed by Shy Love of Adult Talent Managers LA and Kevin Klein of Type 9 models) is essentially trying to strong arm people who don't follow their agenda out of the Los Angeles porn circuit - one has to wonder how's they'll tackle the issue of 101modeling.com - the porn industry's newest and premier agency? One also has to wonder if ALTA will send out a statement about James Bartholet and his management company Galaxy Publicity?
Galaxy Publicity and 101modeling.com don't seem to be affiliated with ALTA or LATATA (at least not yet), but interestingly they appear to represent many of the top and most popular currently active pornstars (many of which appear to all have recent affiliations with LA direct models, Type 9 models, OC Modeling and Adult Talent Managers LA).
Stay tuned....
